Mayor White was born and raised in Trenton, Nova Scotia. He attended Acadia University and lived in the Annapolis Valley and Cape Breton before returning to settle in Westville in 2007. Councillor White is a former teacher, social worker, and small business manager whose lifelong passion for community involvement led to an interest in serving on Council. He was elected to Council in 2012 and loves the community spirit and sense of history and pride that is evident in the Town of Westville. Councillor White enjoys working with fellow Council members, staff and interested residents in making Westville a great place to live.

Originally from rural Cumberland County, Meghan has been a Westville resident since 2011. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Health Promotion from Dalhousie, and has worked for Nova Scotia Health since 2010. A longtime community volunteer, she is passionate about rural development and population health.

Lifelong resident of Westville. Married (Gordon) with one son Gordie married to Kim with two daughters Reid and Ashton.
Retired Healthcare worker and National Servicing Representative for the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Held Executive positions with Canadian Union of Public Employees at the National Level as well as on the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour. Government appointments to the Review of the OHS Act post Westray; review of the WCB on the Dorsey Commission. Board member representing Labour on the Workers Compensation Board for several terms.
