The Public works Labourer contributes to a team of operators and labourers in the safe and effective operation of the Town's water and sewer systems, transportation systems, parks, trails and properties. To apply drop off your resume to the Town office or by email to kristen.reed@westville.ca Attn: Public Works on or before April 15th. Duties include maintain town parks, trails, playgrounds and properties Assist operators in maintenance and operation of water and wastewater systems Provide traffic control, snow removal, lawn maintenance, including watering of all plants and shrubs Adhere to all NS OHS Safety standards and Town safety policies Respond and assist in public works emergencies operate various pieces of Town equipment as required and perform daily routine maintenance Maintain and install sidewalks, gutters, and curbs and perform concrete work Perform equipment repair work as abilities permit Assist in the maintenance of roadways, ditches, crosswalks, regulatory and street signage Other duties and general labour as required Qualifications Highschool Diploma or equivalent A valid NS Class 5 driver's license Required OHS training courses include confined space, First Aid, Traffic Control and signing, and safe excavation. These courses are supplied by the Town as certificates expire
