Free Public Transit Trial in Westville
Westville Town Council and Chad Transit are pleased to announce the launch of a free one-month long, weekly, public transit service trial between Westville to the Aberdeen Business Centre in New Glasgow beginning on September 2nd and running until September 30th. Rider pick-up will occur in front of the Post Office (1870 Main Street North) in Westville at 9:30am on Fridays with riders being delivered to the Aberdeen Business Centre which is the beginning of the Pictou County Transit 1 hour loop.
During the trial period there will be no charge to ride (either way) between Westville and the Aberdeen Business Centre in New Glasgow.
Westville Riders can continue on the regular Pictou County Transit service once they arrive at Aberdeen Business Centre by simply paying the standard PCT fare of $3.00 per stop or $7.50 for a day pass. The regular PCT service makes stops at Aberdeen Business Centre, Pine St across from the Aberdeen Hospital, Highland Square Mall, NSCC, Pictou County Wellness Centre, New Glasgow Library and more. Riders will be picked-up at 2:00pm at the Aberdeen Business Centre and returned to the Westville Post Office (1870 Main Street North).
